Activities & Clubs
There is something for everyone at the Chanhassen Senior Center. The following is a list of activities and clubs that meet regularly. New members are always welcome. If you would like to join one of the clubs or need more information, contact the Senior Center at (952) 227-1125 unless otherwise noted.
Activities & Clubs
This group meets every Wednesday from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. They play 20 games and each game costs $.25. Come try your luck and see if you're a winner. Bingo callers are also needed.
The Book Club meets the fourth Monday of the month from 1:00-2:30 pm in the Maple Room at the Senior Center. Come join the group for a lively discussion of new and classic books.
This group meets every Monday from 12:30-3:30 pm. To play, contact Rosemary Whowell at (952) 949-6614 at least 24 hours in advance.
Card Club (500 and Hand and Foot)
This group meets every Thursday from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Senior Center. If you are interested in joining this group, or would like to see another card game organized, please call the Senior Center at (952) 227-1125.
Share your talents with this group every Tuesday from 12:30-2:15 pm. New members are always welcome. The group sings at various locations and special events throughout the year. If you are interested in joining or would like to book a performance, contact Candice Gallipo at (952) 445-2724.
Peg your way to the Senior Center for an afternoon of fun. This group meets the first and third Friday of the month from 1:00-3:00 pm. Six games are played with prize money awarded to the top three point holders. The cost is $1.00 per person.
Details with the Deputies
Join us every three months for coffee, donuts and casual conversation with Sheriff's Deputies that serve Chanhassen. Find out what's going on in the area and share what's on your mind. Special Events, One-Day Trips and Exended Trips
The Senior Center offers monthly special events, parties and trips. Join us for our monthly one-day tours as we visit Minnesota theaters, landmarks, restaurants and museums. For those who like to travel, the Senior Center offers extended trips throughout the U.S. and Canada. The woodcarvers are a mixed group of men and women that meets every Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 am. All talent levels are welcome. There is a volunteer instructor available for first-time or experienced carvers who would like to learn more about the art. Visitors are welcome to observe at any time.
Join this energetic group of women for a morning of interesting speakers, crafts, community projects and more. They meet the second Monday of the month from 9:30-11:00 am.
