The adoption of a new franchise fee has allowed the City to invest substantially more in the maintenance and preservation of our local roads, which can be seen from the scope of the 2020 Local Pavement Rehabilitation project. This project will incorporate multiple roadway treatments (mill & overlay, full depth reclamation, etc.) depending on the condition of the road for each area, along with minor spot repairs on existing utilities.

A total of seven (7) miles of roadway is proposed to be improved, so the project has been broken up into six areas; the Lake Lucy Road area (east of Powers Boulevard), Choctaw Circle area, Kurvers Point Road area, Marsh Drive area, Redwing Lane area, and the Trappers Pass area. The project is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2020, with work scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2020. Residents that utilize the streets within the project areas will be notified if access is limited.
